With over twenty years of pastoral ministry, James Rainwater leads our team and staff at Bethany Church. James enjoys teaching Scripture for life-change, training and equipping leaders, and leading a church with the faith to ask God for big things.
"I did not grow up in an active Christian home," James says. "This has marked me with a deep appreciation of the Lord's power to transform lives and families. When Jesus steps in, nothing should be the same."
Having been born and raised in Arkansas, James has spent a combined seventeen years in pastoral ministry in Oklahoma. He received his Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership from Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota.
James' wife Aimee, is a 3rd grade teacher in Thomas and also serves in children's ministries at Bethany Church. They have three children, Charish, Caleb and Noah.

Matthew and Melanie Davis
Matthew and Melanie have been involved in youth ministry for about four years. Though Bethany is the first pastoral role for Matthew, both he and his wife previously worked in residential ministries for troubled and at risk youth in Vermont and Nebraska.
Matthew grew up in Texas, where he was able to get involved in a church and start building his relationship with Christ from a young age. Matthew had several different job and ministry opportunities during and after college, but God kept putting on his heart the desire to minister to and mentor youth. This led him to a ministry in Vermont where he met and ended up marrying Melanie. From there, God led the two of them to be house parents in a girls’ group home in a small town in Nebraska. They both learned much, but knew they were not supposed to stay there long term.
Matthew and Melanie ware both very excited for the new journey God has in store for them here at Bethany Church. They have a desire to see youth and families grow closer to God together.

The position of Church Secretary is a very special ministry and Bethany is blessed to have a very special person to serve in this capacity.
Deborah believes the person called to this ministry should be someone who truly feels called to Christian service and who exhibits a genuine and Biblical servant attitude.
Deborah, her husband Howard, and their three sons are active in church life and the community.
